There's few things we enjoy more than seeing our products being put to great use...and today's post is chock full of inspiring projects...what better use could there be?
We're so excited to welcome the fabulous Wendy Sue Anderson, our August Guest Designer. Wendy's clean, beautiful style is a perfect match for the two collections we sent her: Once Upon a Halloween and Park Drive.
You can see more over at inspireME, but I had to share a few of her projects here.
First up, look at this gorgeous Park Drive layout:

This week, we're talking about hot TRENDS, and Wendy Sue has a couple right here on this page. The paper cut into ribbons is a hot look we all love...and a great way to show off some of the gorgeous Park Drive patterns. Then, of course, twine is still around and better than ever, especially when you mix it with a Perfect Accent like this one here:

Wendy Sue also had a blast with Once Upon a Halloween, as you can tell by these adorable treat bags she whipped up:

Wendy says:
I always love putting together little treat bags for my kiddos or for friends for all of the holidays. For these little bags, I created banner pieces to embellish the fronts – the premade cards made it super easy! My favorite part, though, was trimming down the transparency overlays and tucking them inside the cello bags – I love being able to see the design through the bags – and STILL being able to see the sweet treats that are inside!
Gorgeous! Of course, that's not all. Our designers were so inspired by Wendy Sue! Her inspiration layouts and a few trends made for some gorgeous creations, like this one from Kay Rogers:

Kay shows off her hexagon crush with this layout featuring Once Upon a Halloween. Hexagons are huge right now, and we're all pushing aside our bad geometry memories to pull them onto our pages! What a fun idea to mix up the shapes a little bit.
Finally, you can see another hot trend right here on Emeline's layout:
Emeline explains, "Ombre is the graduation of saturated colors to lighter shade. Ombre dyed hair and ombre nails are really popular and liking what I see in a lot of fashion magazines, so I translated the gorgeous effect of blending a combination of colors from a darker to a lighter shade."
The results are just perfect, and prove that we're all perfectly in love with Wendy Sue's style!
