'Party Time!' Card Inspiration {...with Designer Jill Cornell!}

Are you celebrating anything exciting this coming year? Whether it's a huge milestone like a birthday, graduation, anniversary or a daily, reminder to celebrate life, we think today's inspiration by Designer Jill Cornell sums it all up just perfectly!

Jill used 'Party Time!' to create two GORGEOUS cards! 

 We love how she's incorporated our new Party Straws! 

For her adorable flower card, she used banner punches and then outlined the pieces with a black pen.

The Paper Straws add such dimension to every project! STUNNING!

She also used them to create the posts for the banner on her "So Much Fun" card.

We're LOVING all of the fun Patterned Papers in this collection!

Girls...we're lucky, wouldn't you agree!? We get to have ALL the fun! Today's inspiration is absolutely CHARMING {No pun intended!}  AND fun, AND gets right to the bottom of what it means to be a well-rounded girl! We {we girls, that is!} love to have fun, love to kick back, love to dress up, laugh, and live life to its fullest! At times we're shouting it out for all to see, and other times it's the inward beauty and strength that shines right through! Today, a sampling of each, and we think you're going to love the dynamics!

Designer Jaz Lee Soo Hui's 'Growing Up Girl' layout is the essence of all that we girls adore! All wrapped up in a PERFECTLY BEAUTIFUL masterpiece with more charm than we ever could have imagined!

We LOVE how she's included our new favorite embellishments...Paper Party Straws! So much fun!!

There's Nothing Better Than a 'Sweet Routine'!

We're celebrating friends today! We are overwhelmed and delighted to know every single one of you and to be able to be connected with you through our social media avenues is an absolute privilege! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life!

This week we're celebrating a monumental milestone! 20,000 Facebook fans! {We are BLOWN AWAY!} AND, did you know that we just recently made our debut on Instagram!? We're so excited to get to connect in so many ways!

What a sweet part of daily living to be able to make new friends and share smiles and laughter with them! Designer Stacey Michaud is sharing her Sweet Routine layout with us and it expresses our sentiments exactly!

We couln't have said it better! 

Stacey gained her inspiration from the stacked books in the bottom left corner. She saw the friendship theme and was instantly hooked.   

We're in love with her handcut border!! She first cut along the diagonal of the diamonds, and then, to add some pop, she used a craft knife to cut out the middle row of diamonds and then placed a colorful strip of patterned paper under the cutouts.

STUNNING 'Hello World' Card Tutorial {using Overlays!}

We promised tutorials with Overlays this week and today's inspiration is over the top AWESOME!

Designer Candice Elliott has created the most ADORABLE card with sweet little accompanying frames AND she's sharing exactly how she made them with us today! They have got to be the cutest, freshest things we've seen since last Spring! Here's what we'll be making!

Here's Candice to give you a step-by-step How-to! Let's get started!

Here are all the supplies you'll need...

For the first part of the tutorial we will need to create a picture frame pocket using an overlay.

Take a piece of paper any size you like and cut a rectangle out of the middle. This will be the base for

the picture frame pocket. Be sure to cut a piece of overlay slightly smaller then the base for the frame because we are going to slide it right into the frame base in the next step.

Slide overlay into the folded parts in the back of the frame base.

Now we are going to adhere the back to the folded edges of the frame base. This creates a sweet little frame pocket.

Next we will add a few sticker embellishments to finish it off.

I premade this smaller frame pocket to add to a simple card that we will be putting together.

Here are all the card supply pieces we will be using to put our card together.

This can vary to any way you would like it to be.

From here the next steps will show how to layer to complete the project. It so super easy and fun!

We will cut another piece of overlay for the top of the sentiment card and adhere then add two heart stickers to the center of the O's.

Here is our super sweet card all set and ready to go!

A Special Day! {Party Time! Inspiration by Gerry Van Gent}

What a special day today is! The kind where you just want to jump up and down!! Maybe it's the HINT of Spring in the air, the lengthening days, the feeling that new things are ready to sprout up all around us! That is the beauty and simplicity of life! There may be some REALLY cold winters from time to time {**BRRRR!!**} but eventually you will always feel the warm rays of the sun beating down on your face again!

Now THAT is something to celebrate, woudln't you agree!? That's what Designer Gerry Van Gent has inspired us to do today...celebrate life! Yes, it's a beautiful thing to celebrate!

Isn't her layout STUNNING!!? By the way, if you're wondering where Gerry found all of those GORGEOUS berries and flowers that are BURSTING off her page, they're straight from the pages of Party Time! Gerry is a master at fussy cutting! WOW!

Gerry's daughter {six years old}, took this beautiful photo of her and  to remember this special moment, she decided to make it a keepsake. 

For the base of her photo she used the beautiful Patterned Paper "It`s a Date."

....and she added TONS of STUNNING fussy cutting to match the beauty of the world all around her.

Mixed Media Style Scrapping with Sprinkled With Love!

The world is sweeter when peppered with giggles, seasoned with sweetness, and all wrapped up in layers of love!...don't you agree!?

Some things just make you want to smile, and today's inspiration is one of those things! Designer Gabrielle Pollacco's layout is...STUNNING! TONS of beautiful details, like layering of pretty papers, watercoloring, stamps, and texture paste... 

Gabi wanted to give the whole layout a fun and happy feel, in keeping with the photo of her great {ADORABLE} nieces. Doesn't it put an instant smile on your face!? We think she definitely succeeded!

I just love imagining what must have been going on at the time this picture was taken!

Inspired by the watercolor look of the 'Secret Admirer' paper, Gabi set out to do a more mixed media style page, picking up the colors in this paper to use as her palette.
