Are you in the mood for some Christmas crafting!!? We hope you're ready because this week is jam packed with Crafty Christmas Design Team tutorials GALORE to help make the season merry & bright! They're fun, beautiful, quick, and easy!!
Today's inspiration comes from Designer Candice Elliott...a Christmas ornament that will take your breath away! Candice has prepared a special step-by-step tutorial featuring papers from It's Christmas by Allison Kreft, to show us how to make one {or more} of our own! Creating a homemade ornament is a beautiful way to commemorate your Christmas or share some holiday cheer with your friends and loved ones!
Here are the supplies used to create this ornament. There is plenty of room to make it your own and use whatever embellishments that fit your fancy!
First, we start by folding two of the circles in halves until lines are created all the way around. Be sure to use one of the smaller circles and the larger one.
Now the fun part begins! Using these lines we created as guides, cut out small triangles between the lines. This will create a starburst.
After the starbursts have been created, take the smaller one and begin to roll the rays back as shown in picture below. It will look a lot like a flower. Gather all elements for next step.
Time to start layering! Adhere the larger starburst to the uncut, smaller circle. Take the transparent cirlce and adhere on top of the starburst. Now adhere the starburst flower, lace, key, circle embellishment, and pearl.
Finally, add the the jewel, vines, and ribbon to finish off our completed ornament!!!
That's it!! Isn't it BEAUTIFUL!? We hope you enjoyed Candice's tutorial and have fun making some of your own!
