Transparencies are such a fun addition to any papercrafting project, and we're loving the printed overlays in each of our new collections.
Our overlays are perfect just as they are, but perhaps you'd like to get a little more creative?
Thankfully, we have a fun tutorial today from the lovely and talented Iris Babao Uy. Iris is not only on our Design Team, she's also one of our new educators, and she's going to show us step-by-step some clever ways to incorporate transparencies into your next layout.
Here's the project Iris created:
Isn't it a stunner? Iris is using our new Once Upon a Halloween collection, including the gorgeous Owl overlay, which you can see HERE.
You can watch this video to see Iris in action as she outlines each of the steps for you.
Then she added glass bead gels on the top side and let it dry. Next, she rubbed embossing ink over the glass bead gel and applied perfect pearls to add color and shimmer.
What a fun effect!
And the rest of the layout is equally as gorgeous:
With fun details, hand cut elements and so much to look at...what more could you ask for?
So tell us, what was the last technique you played with?
Thanks, Iris for teaching us this cool new way to use our overlays...get your very own over on our Website. Once Upon a Halloween starts shipping next week!
This is AMAZING, Iris!! Will have to check out the video a little later when I can study it :D~

Thanks Erin! Thanks Leslie! I'm glad you like it! It was my first time to do a video and it was hard to learn something new and techy for me, but I sure am happy that I was able to share a little with you.
