Do we really need a special day to remind us to tell people how much we love them? I don't know, but I'm buying it...hook, line and sinker! I love Valentine's Day. The conversation hearts, frosted heart-shaped sugar cookies, a mailbox full of little paper Valentine's declaring their love for you...but of course, if you're a papercrafter, there's a level of expectation...
Handmade Valentine's...
Thankfully, a few of our Designers have created gorgeous, inspiring (and VERY simple) cards you can re-create today!
Look at this one from Designer Jill Cornell:
Super simple, but still so whimsical, this Valentine is definitely one you could mass produce in a hurry. I love the festive look of the banner and the clever use of three different colors and styles of Alpha Stickers.
And Designer Diana Brodeur came up with this clever tic tac toe pattern for her super easy, but totally adorable card.
Diana also created a treat bag tag using the same papers, something you could do alongside your kids if you want to get them involved in spreading the love!
Webster's Pages + You = Easy, Handmade Valentines!
As always, we think you might want to stroll through the aisles of our online store right HERE and you'll be making super sweet Valentines in no time!
But Valentine Cards aren't the only way to celebrate amore...look at this stunner of an art journal page from Design Iris Babao Uy:
Iris points out that your love layouts don't have to be sugary sweet or mushy, and they don't even have to have a photo!
To create this page, Iris hand-cut two hearts from thin cork and layered mediums over it. Then, she took scraps of Webster's Pages papers and created a collage for her page's foundation and applied stickers representing the things she loves in various places on the page.
I feel lovelier for having looked at these projects, don't you?
Super Secret Winner?! What?
Now, before I go...I have to tell you a little secret. Monday, I sent out an email to all Members of Inspire Me with a special instruction on how they could be entered to WIN a collection kit of their very own... and guess what? My inbox was FLOODED. It made me SO happy!!!
And I'm even happier because I get to tell you that Brandin randomly selected a number and that number belonged to: Jo Willis!! Jo, shoot me an email and we'll get your kit on its way!
Great valentines, thanks! And congratulations on the book)) can't wait to get it.
