LOL...this post makes me laugh! We do not have a man-cave in our house...but possibly that could be my husbands garage! When he goes there, I don't see him for hours!
But MY bliss is my sunroom...I have 2 large wicker chairs that you can fold your legs up on, with a book and a coffee.... those are my favourite moments...admittedly not that often, but every now and then! From this sunroom I can also view the garden and hear the birds.... it's a great place for reflection, as well as inspiration!
Thanks Brandin... I had a good chuckle and then also thought about MY bliss!

So not fair! AND I never even thought about it before! Any house with a man-cave SHOULD also have a woman-cave! lol We have neither. Larry has the lake...15 min drive away...and goes fishing OFTEN. I have what is supposed to be our dining room. We do not dine formally. Ever. Therefore, it is my scrap space/office. Right smack in the middle of all the action. I look the left there's the kitchen. I look to the right, there's the living room. Yes, there's a lot of traffic in, out and through this room, so I guess it's more of a tunnel than a cave? I'm assuming I'd get more peace if I installed a toll booth...Hey! That might even pay for my scrapping!...but I'd sure miss the kids since they're broke at the moment. ;-)

It's appropriate for men to call their spot a man "cave". Women would need to call their's something like a woman's oasis! My husband and son have their "cave" (appropriately named)! My retreat for scrapping is either the dining room table (which needs to be cleared within a few hours in order to eat) or the top of my washing machine. Nice, huh? lol

I am now dreaming of a beautiful woman cave where there is no noise and where everything is exactly where I put it! Bliss! Pity the reality is that I will find 5 towels randomly thrown on the floor after the kids have cleansed themselves!

my husbad uses the basement as his man-cave...it is fully redone so he can watch the game and almost disappear...see, I can't do that because my kids would hunt me down! My woman-cave is Marshall's or Target. Can you say in debt! LOL!

I must have the best husband in the world, and be the luckiest woman alive.. because he always says "What about that for the craft room? Could you use this fixture? We're throwing this out at work.. want it to store ink?" We are all about the WOman cave in our house! --- that being said.. the living room is sort of a man cave.. a big soft cushy couch.. a huge tv.. xbox360.. TONS of games.. but I like that part of the house, too ;)

We dont really have a Mancave except boyfriend & son usually have control of the tv in the living room. The projects they work on are outside when its nice. I do have my woman cave. After my daughter moved out, her bedroom became my scraproom. I am lucky to have it.

We have a KID CAVE. It's in the basement, has hanging hammock chairs, the walls are covered in something they can't hurt, and they can paint, use their wii, read books, or anything else that is loud...leaving me the rest of the house and some peace. HGTV will get on band wagon with my new idea I am sure!!! :-)

Yep - my woman cave is loaded with a beautiful scrappy mess that i don't have to clean up until i can't find my sizzors.

sweet true bliss.

We do have a man cave:( But that being said, one reason why we bought this house was it gave me a scrapbooking room, so that is my woman cave:) the Kids are only allowed in with my permission. Its not always quiet, but it is mine:)

First, I hope that Dane is feeling better, poor little guy! And yes, I kind of do have a woman-cave. It's my scraproom. I love going in there and shutting the world away. :) It's not decorated/set up exactly the way I want it yet, but it's close enough.

Oh dear - I remember those ear infection days. So not fun! We have a different situation here - a house with kids basically grown. In this house the family room is downstairs sort of in the basement. That is where DH spends 90% of his time so it has become his "lair". I use a room upstairs for scrapping, etc so basically we are as far apart from each other as we can get. We didn't really plan it, that is just kind of the way it happened. Mine is not decorated though so would love to do that to it.

Oh yes we have a man cave! The entire basement floor is dedicated to
The cave (which is huge by the way) and my woman cave, well let's say I dream of it. My scrap too
Is not really fitting the bill as its only 15 x 10 and generally feel like a cave and noone can share it with me. Guess that's the problem. Men want a cave while I want a space to share with the kids!

Awesome I need a place like that. I could use a little retreat for some me time. It has been awhile seven months to be exact. That is when we moved to Ca.

I have a dream of one day having a room all to myself for my crafting. It doesn't have to be big it just needs good light and storage and a nice table mmmmm. At the moment I have a corner of the dining room full of my crafty stuff and use the dining table which needs clearing every few hours to feed the troops :)

I am fortunate; I have a dedicated scraproom. The Basement is my "woman Cave" and it is a combo of my office and a scraproom. My husband has his own office and his "MAN CAVE" is the den. I am in the midst of redecorating/purging the space now for spring!

Gabrielle Pollacco

Heehee, no man cave here, my poor DH is completely surrounded by an excess of estrogen....even our dog is female! I'm with you, a total HGTV junkie (that and the food network!....I scrap with that channel running, I try to eat with my 'eyes' rather than my tummy lol!) I Love your pick for a woman cave! (I say you start designing some papers along that style? how cool would that be? ....Sorry to hear Dane is having a hard time with his ear, it's tough when they are little dealing with pain like that. xx

Jodee

We don't really have a man cave either, but we do have a rec room with a pool table and a big tv. Mu hubby hangs out there with his buddies. But, I also go out and play pool sometimes. As for a woman cave-I'm working on it! I have an extra room in the house but I just need to get it cleaned up and put my scrappy stuff in there! That would be so exciting to have! I really should get to it! LOL!
