so the story goes...
My 4 year old little genius Dane was holding/licking a popsicle with one hand/tongue/mouth
putting his shorts on with his other hand
while I'm asked him to pick up the mess that he made in the kitchen
and in one breath reminding him that he needed to brush his teeth...
Dane looks at me and says with an annoyed tone,
"mommy!!!!...I'm not an octopus!"...
My thoughts exactly Dane ♥
Life's been...well....1000000% crazy lately!!!!
a few little people have been forcing me to grow imaginary octopus powers during the busy design season in our company...

So I took at little break from chatting.
But "balance" has been put back in order & I'm back to chat away! {notice in quotes because not sure what that word means anymore...hahaha!}
We have so much coming up for you all! I'll give you all the details next week on a VERY exciting promotion right around the corner for you & the debut of our newest line, "Let's Celebrate!"
Speaking of celebrating...we have had a fantastic response to the Warehouse sale Kit & I would like to celebrate today by giving away some of the very last kits left! They are almost gone so you can order the last one's here!
I will giveaway 2 KITS to 2 lucky people that respond to this post letting me know how they balance life! haha! how's that for a loaded question!?...
Ok, maybe just tell me a little secret to what a good indulgence is for you to bring balance back...bubble bath, chocolate, a good book, all of the above?
I look forward to hearing from you & stay tuned on Monday for a BIG week of announcements ahead!

I find balance people watching! I love sitting on the bench at my front door, sipping a tea of coffee and watching all the Mom's walking their kids home from the elementary school just a block away.
The kids are jumping with excitement, telling their Mom's all about their day. The Mom's are often pushing younger siblings in a buggy and the family dog frolicks alongside them all.
When my kids were that age I was too busy to people watch! teehee It is fun to see the interaction between the family unit for that little snippet of time they are in my line of vision.
I have my coffee out there about twice a week. There is a great park between my house and the school. Lots of other people walk by, taking their dogs for a walk in the park.
Others walk past with a kite in their hands or a blanket and a book. The regulars will say hello and sometimes stop and chat.

My means of coping in a stressful world has often been to take a walk which helps me to remember all the things we have to be grateful for. About a year and a half ago we moved from my hometown and I began scrapbooking where I met new friends; our local scrapbooking store is always a great place to relax create and share a few laughs.

For balance I like to go to my scrap room and make a layout or put together a couple of page kits. If Neither of these work there is always internet shopping along with looking at some gorgeous Webster design team layouts. So all in all I must have some scrappy goodness to make me balanced and happy.

Balance is tough. As a busy lawyer and mother to a fireball child, there is always so much to do and not enough time to do it in. But sometimes I need to stop and take a breath. I recently spent 3 terrific days in Kelowna, British Columbia with a girlfriend that I regard as my "big sister". We visited vineyards, shopped in nearby Penticton, drank wine, popped into a scrapbook store, hung out at Starbucks, and spent a blissful 4 hours at a spa where we we pampered with a massage, facial, and a caribbean body treatment. I think I will take more trips w/ my friends. It's good to have ME time w/out my spouse and child once in a while. THANK YOU for your gorgeous lines and embellishments. I am always excited to see your new releases. Best wishes to you!

Balancing life is a challenge for sure....I have fibromyalgia and am in pain everyday...some easier days than others...but my faith keeps me going...and since I started scrapbooking last year it gives me an outlet and keeps me focused on what I am doing...
I hope this comment posts as I am not computer savy and understand terms like blogs and urls etc...
I want to thank all crafters/artists for their talent and work that share what they do for people like me who Love to see it and keep me motivated and inspired.
Always, Mary
