{Get the Look!} Classic. Detailed. Intricate with 'Our Travels'
Do you like to add texture to your layouts!? Today, we're sharing TWO Get the Look layout ideas! The first of two is a Clean & Simple layout, an inspired quick and easy option you can make in 30 minutes or less! ...BUT, if you have a little more time to create, you'll definitely want to take a peek at this great technique by Designer Iris Babao Uy using texture paste!

The first thing I do is cut-out an intricate design using my die-cutting machine and laser-cut dies. Below, you will see two die-cut shapes laid down on the piece of cardstock paper that I chose as my base.
Next, take a watercolor paper or a thick paper which you would normally use for mixed media projects. Place the die-cut sheet on top of the paper and with a spatula, spread over your choice of texture mediums. I used white pumice stone medium here. You can also use thick gesso mixed with bead gels, or other texture mediums you have.
Once the entire die-cut sheet is covered with mediums, gently lift your die-cut shapes from the paper and let these dry.
As you can see in the picture above, you will have an embossed image of your die-cut sheet on the watercolor paper because of the texture mediums you used. You can set this aside for a future project. You will likewise end up with two die-cut shapes beautifully coated with texture mediums. These coated die-cut shapes are what you will use on your layout.
Here now you can see that I used the coated die-cut shapes as a beautiful base/ layer for my page. You achieve the texture and look of mixed media without warping and possibly damaging your cardstock paper.

We have two very special tutorials for you today! Here, the first of the two...a clean and simple layout that's super quick and easy created by Designer Stacey Michaud using our new Adrienne Looman line that has just hit stores everywhere, 'Our Travels!'
If you are looking to make a page in under 30 minutes, this is a perfect example!
Stacey decided to create a grid using the journaling cards from the 'Out and About' sheet of paper.
She also added some small touches to make the page special.

Stacey chose to use a white background in order to make the the colors in journaling squares and the entire llayout pop. She cut the scalloped edge from the 'This Way' paper and then adhered it to the white background in order to create the perfect frame!
We ADORE how it frames her layout! 'Our Travels' offers so many sweet little sentiments to describe life with beautiful typography designed from the heart!

Easter's on its Way {Adorable Easter Decor Tutorial with Jill Cornell}
Easter is a special time of year, full of meaning, tradition, fun and games! Definitely one to celebrate! Today, Designer Jill Cornell is sharing her adorable 12" x 12" frame tutorial with us. Such a cute way to say Happy Easter and a perfectly wonderful way to get your kiddos involved!
First Jill whitewashed a 12" x 12" wooden frame...
She then used her Cameo to die cut the Easter Egg borders.
After that, she backed the Easter eggs with fun Patterned Papers from Hello World by Allison Kreft.
...and affixed them to her background paper.
She then cut out her title...

What to do with Icy Toes and Rosy Red Cheeks! {Scrap Your Winter!}
Wow! It's been a long, cold, winter for most this year! We bet you've made some amazing memories! No doubt you have some rosie cheeks and bright red noses to scrap! Maybe even some icy mittens thawing in front of the fireplace and little cold fingers wrapped around a mug of hot cocoa!
Designer Kay Rogers is wrapping up this year's beautiful memories of snowy winter adventures in 'Our Travels' by Adrienne Looman! Here she is to tell us all about it!
We love how perfectly the 'Our Travels' color scheme accentuates the bluish hues of a snowy day, and all of the fun colors of kiddos wrapped up in 10 layers of their warmest clothes!
The Tag and Prompt Stickers were so cute on this layout! Most of us know exactly what it's like to have a "trigger finger" with the camera! CAN'T STOP TAKING PICTURES!!
