At Webster’s Pages, we LOVE to layer! There’s nothing more beautiful than a layout lavished with layers of papers and embellishment. It's a wonderful way to add character, depth and visual interest.

Today, our Classic Designer Larissa Albernaz and our Clean and Simple Designers Nina Ostermann and Candice Elliott are proving that no matter which way you cut it, layering with Webster’s Pages is ALWAYS beautiful!

“I made the background paper by myself using some watercolors with a lot of water on white cardstock. LOVE that effect and this technique can be used in different color combinations to make the background fit better with the colors of patterned papers I want to use.

“You see a lot of layering on this page, it´s one of my favorite techniques too. The thin white layers are from white silk paper.” ~ Nina

Flowery Fun {with Modern Romance and more!}

It’s May 1^st and finally feeling more like Spring! The flowers are in bloom and the sun is starting to make its grand appearance a little more often! On this beautiful day, we have some flowery layouts for your visual enjoyment!

Today’s {VERY LOVELY} blooms are brought to you courtesy Designers Erin Blegin and Gabrielle Pollacco!

Erin cut blooms from Modern Romance patterned papers and added them to her {OH SO SWEET} layout. Look!

These BEAUTIFUL blossoms are perfect for layering!

…AND Modern Romance patterns make GORGEOUS accent pieces! Look at this one that Erin cut from Modern Romance’s Carving Our Name patterned paper.

We LOVE how she framed the bird with a Perfect Accents frame and finished it off with a Quick Picks mini bow!

Next, we have a {GORGEOUS} layout by Gabi whose dreamy scrap style is always AWE INSPIRING! Take a look…

See what we mean?! In addition to fussy cutting Modern Romance papers, she added these very pretty handmade blooms. Take a closer look... 

{GORGEOUS!} She made her flowers using a floral die cut and Webster’s Pages patterned papers...

Here’s a little tip from Gabi on how to create perfect petals…

“I pushed the petals from the die cut flower layers in the palm of my hand with the tips of my fingers to create the cup shape in the petals.  Lightly misting the paper first helps form the shape.”

Stamping with Larissa {Allison Kreft Designs Stamp Sets}

Today…we're sharing something that MAKES US HAPPY!

Actually, {though happy is definitely a great word} it may not be quite the one we’re looking for. This is better…”today, we are BUBBLING OVER WITH EXCITEMENT!” because we are THRILLED to see our new Stamps in action! Designer Larissa Albernaz is delighting us today with an AMAZING layout {and it’s a STUNNER!}

{...but, you don’t have to take our word for it! Here, we’ll let you decide for yourself!}

Larissa hot embossed the Polaroid frame stamp onto six patterned Sweet Notes papers using the Polaroid Frame Stamp Set {this one right here}

…and then put them all together...{like this!}

After that, she stamped her subtitle “snap snap” using Stazon and then added a camera and the words “click click" {take a peek}

Both of these stamps are from the Snap & Click Stamp Set. {this one right here}

Aren’t these stamps FABULOUS?! AND, isn't Larissa's layout WONDERFUL!? Here, lets take one more look now that we understand how she made it all come together!

Did you notice the title of her layout? "Take Notes!" We may all want to go back and do just that so that we can make an equally delightful layout on our own!

Designer Tanya Batrak’s layout is STUNNING! We’re in love with the way she used New Beginnings Circle Rings Stickers to create the effect of light and emphasize her sunny theme! Look at how Tanya distressed her page with paints, stamps and stitching…

Inspired by Embellishments {fun with Quick Picks!}

Today we have the pleasure of taking a peek at some LOVELY layouts by Designers Iris Babao Uy and Jaz Lee Soo Hui.

Iris designed this beautiful Project Life page using New Beginnings papers for a classic Webster’s look that is simple, quick and easy! With creativity at the heart of her project, Iris rounded some corners, cut some key items and added embellishments in all the right places! 

{BEAUTIFUL!} The versatility of Webster’s collections allows for a multitude of options and ideas!

We LOVE the addition of the precious New Beginnings trim and the darling polka dot ribbons and pins! What a wonderful way to embellish and still limit bulk.

There are so many fun details to look at on this page. We just love the way Larissa layered embellishments and hand-cut motifs. Look at the butterflies...gorgeous!  

And, of course, our Classic girls know how to incorporate incredible texture on their layouts. There is so much on this page to reach out and touch! 

The tutu trim makes a lovely little pop of something unexpected that we've come to love from Larissa's layouts. Look how pretty this is:

Mix & Match Your Best Friends {And WIN BIG with Webster's Pages}

Do you have  best friend?

A group of best friends? This week, our celebration continues and we want to hear from you! Read on to find out how you can WIN a Best Friends prize...{And remember, BEST FRIENDS starts shipping THIS WEEK!}

Before we tell you, though, we have two gorgeous layouts to share, both showing how easy it is to mix Best Friends with other Webster's Pages collections. 

First, take a look at this layout from Designer Erin Blegen:

Erin's Classic Webster's page combines elements of Best Friends, Let's Celebrate & Girl Land, for an entirely new look that infuses the new & the old. 

We love the way Erin layered the Best Friends balloons, using foam adhesive to pop them up off the page for that added bit of visual interest. 

Just gorgeous! 

Designer Anabelle O'Malley also went to work mixing & matching Best Friends. She chose to pair it with Game On for this sweet layout:

Anabelle says: "I've had this picture of Ryan and his buddy in the pool sitting on my table for a few weeks and decided that it would be the perfect photo to scrap for my assignment today to mix Best Friends with another line. I decided that the reds in Game On would be perfect for it. So, I pulled the blue papers from BF and the striped and houndstooth paper from Game On and mixed them. I really like how they worked together!"

And we do too, Anabelle!

Notice Anabelle also embellished with a frame, some striped paper and a speech bubble from Best Friends. Those, along with a little ticket from Game On did their job in pulling the page together for wonderful results!

Here are the details on this challenge: 

1. The layout must use predominantly Webster's Pages and must use at least two different collections.(No limit on how many collections you can use.) 

2. You must upload your layout to the gallery at InspireME on or before midnight EST on October 18th. Your layout title must include the words "September Mix & Match Challenge"

A Trendy Challenge

Today is the last day of our TrendWatch series, and we're pretty excited to end with a bang.

That's right. A challenge...for you. With a really great prize!

But first, we have two more trends to tackle, and that means gorgeous layouts to inspire you to create. 

Like this one from Jaz Lee. Jaz chose to show use the insanely popular trend of using die cuts:

Die cuts have been around since scrapbooking began, but they've "grown up" quite a bit. One of the most popular (and fun) hot trends right now is the use of die cut text, like Jaz's adorable title block and layers. 

What a great way to make your layers even more interesting! And die cutting from your patterned paepr is an easy way to add that little something special...

Another trend we've fallen head over heels in love with is the use of masks. With the addition of mists, paints and all things artsy, masks have become a really creative way to make a layout shine.

Tomoko Takahashi's gorgeous project is proof:

This layered, artful creation is absolutely stunning, and so much more interesting to look at thanks to the negative space provided by misting over a mask. 

The best part is, you can experiment and play...go ahead and stretch those creative wings. This month, we're challenging you to use Webster's Pages (anything you want!) to create a layout that uses one of the trends we showcased this week. Scroll down for a recap!
