Donna E.

Gorgeous page, as always!
I also concocted my own texture paste the same way! :) I've never owned one and couldn't find some in this part of the world (I am in KSA).

Tammy Whitley

Gabi I love it!! The stencil is beautiful, who makes that one and what the design called if you don't mind sharing that information. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful way to use texture. I have been a little afraid to try it. But now with the home made version, Im not to worried about it now. Thank you again, for sharing. The layout is stunning!!!

Gabrielle Pollacco

Thanks Donna and Tammy! Tammy the stencil I used is from Michaels, it's not in the scrapbooking area but rather can be found in the paint area. The Company name is American Classic by Tracy Moreau and the stencil itself is called Jacobean Floral. Hope this helps! xo

Always fantastic ideas from Gabi!

Awesome recipe! I'm going to have to try it out since every manu's molding/modeling paste seems different (same goes for gesso). Would be nice to be able to adjust the consistency to whatever works best for a particular project. :-D

Patricia Basson

I have been using this for a while now Gabi!!! Thanks for sharing and I just love the smell of J&J on my pages...!

fonda rush

talc is a soft mineral while baby powder is cornstarch. will true talc work?

Gabrielle Pollacco

Fonda, talcum powder will work just as well :)

All I've got to say is GENIUS!!

I was just complaining about how expensive modeling paste is. Wish I had seen this earlier but I'm going to give it a go anyway! Great post!

Wondering and about to experiment with colors - using color paint in place of and/or addition to white paint.
Great idea to make own so can make a travel size container. Tiny bottles and jars ready-made hard to find to buy. Now just have to ask my friends with toddlers to save me containers with tops. Thanks for recipe.

I added double the baby powder as i found the mixture to be a little too runny for my taste, it would run under the stencils.
Really nice to have found your page though, thanks again!
