We are thrilled to have our lovely Classic Designer Anabelle O'Malley to share a little step-by-step in how to incorporate one of today's hottest trends into your scrapbooking.
We see them popping up all over the place, so today we get to create alongside Anabelle to pull this trend into our pages!
Take it away, Anabelle...
I have been loving the trend of using triangles on layouts lately! I recently found an awesome inspiration photo on Pinterest and it sparked me to create a page using Park Drive.
Here's the inspiration photo:
And here’s my page:
Let me show you what I did…
I decided that I wanted my flags to be triangles, so I cut a bunch of them from the paper. I made two different sizes.
Next, I took twine and wrapped it around the cardstock. I taped it down on the back and stitched around the edges to hold it in place.
Then, I adhered the flags to the page. I added some with foam adhesive for added dimension.
I knew that I wanted to use some of the Park Drive trim to layer under my photo. But, I didn’t want to keep it yellow on here. So, I got out my spray mists and misted it green. I love changing the colors of things. So easy to do!
I added a couple of more Park Drive trims to the page and layered my photo on top of them.
I used snippets of the yellow trim, some of the Perfect accents and bits of twine to accent the little flags. Then, I added a strip of the circles paper to the left side of the page. I like how the rounded edges of the half circles add a little visual interest to all of the straight lines and angles on the page.
I finished off with a die cut title and added some letter stickers. It was a quick and fun page to pull together.
So, as you can see, Park Drive and triangles really do go well together.
