Where Do You Get Your Inspiration?

I didn't intend to write a posting tonight but I couldn't resist sharing my thoughts with you...

...I just came downstairs from my nightly "dream" feed to my 5 month old daughter, Cali. Every night I walk into her nursery & hear the sweet sounds of her sleeping coos & breath in the baby smells of scented powders & fresh bathed baby bottoms....to feed her until she wakes for another sunny North Carolina day. Cali & I rock in her soft & over sized rocking chair while I feed her and that's when my mind starts to wander about what makes me happy & what inspires me...there are a few obvious & straight forward answers (my FAMILY!) but my mind then goes into the small details that make me smile.

Tonight, I was looking around Cali's dimly lit nursery & had realized that all the small details that make keeping memories as beautiful as the memories itself were all in her room. The feminine ball fringe on her soft white curtains, the playful eyelets on her crib skirt, the delicate laces on her pillows, the fine embroidery on her personalized blankie...I want to be able to bring you all of those small details to help you capture the true essence of your beautiful moments. I am inspired by the materials that surround our family in our home. I am inspired by the simple beauty of decorating a home.

In our next collection that's coming out in a few weeks (YEA!), I was inspired to bring you the feeling of classic, humbling style & home comforts. I want to be able to sit in my dimly lit children's rooms and feel that I can create that feeling when I document that memory. I am bringing you absolutely beautiful papers, calendars & journaling cards by Terri Conrad Designs, feminine trims, playful eyelets & delicate laces and other scrumptious products. Here's a sneak peak!

I have been inspired.... So....where do YOU get your inspirations from?

Watch out NY Stationary Show! Weeee!

So much work but so much reward! We exhibited at the New York Stationary Show last year and showed all of our fabulous Terri Conrad Designed Designer Papers, stickers & rub-ons and retailers looked at us and oooo'ed and ahhhh'ed but didn't know how to incorporate it into their stores....so little sales..bummer...ALTHOUGH, this year was VERY different! We wanted to help Stationary Stores out and help them bring in gorgeous products that their customers would relate to and expect from them....Webster's Pages Introduced our Magnetic Expressions Line! Do you know about this line? It's beautiful!

We have created framed, designer magnet boards using Terri Conrad Designs Patterns. They're gorgeous! They're used for traditional magnet boards and you know we couldn't stop there...we created kits for these 9x9 and 13x13 framed magnetic boards. The kits include magnetic scrapbooking pages (plain & just add photo pages-shown below), embellish yourself magnetic photomats, magnetic calendar & journaling paperpads AND now.....Personal Organizer & monthly scrapbooking center! I'll tell you more about that one later.

How Do You Say I Love You?

Hi Everyone!

We had such an overwhelming response to this contest and have been continuing to get responses from the question we asked you, "How Do You say I Love You?" Over 1000 people wanted to share their way with us and you've touched our hearts with what you've said. Many of you wrote in about your angelic grandchildren, your beloved husbands, your beautiful children & your friends. Thank you for sharing a little bit of yourselves with us. We selected two entries that we thought were simply beautiful.

Congratulations Nellie Garone (Oklahoma)  & Candy Bonoan-Lagazon (Philippines)!
Nellie tells us...
I say " I love you" everyday as a teacher. I  care about my students and as I teach art, I want them to see the wonders of the world that they live in. We explore colors, textures, shapes, and nature. I want my students to see my love of art and transfer that to their lives. So often, by the time students reach high school, they don't think that they are creative. It is so sad that the inner imagination has been suppressed by television and videos. I endeavor to help them find that creative side that they have long since buried and reemerge as a confident, creative person who can create beauty in their everyday life! That is how  I say "I love you" everyday.
Candy tells us...
~ I love you is not said in words. It is said in many different ways without the use of words.
~ I love you is not said in 3 red roses. It is said in a box of tissue, when you've just had a fight and the tears keep on flowing.
~ I love you is not said in a love letter. It is said in a plain white mailing envelope that you see in your mailbox every week.
~ I love you is not said in a box of chocolates. It is said in a thoughtful gesture, like a hug when you feel down.
~ I love you is not said in an engagement ring. It is said in the holding of hands, to assure you that you will never be alone.
~ I love you is not said in front of a priest. It is said in front of God.
~ I love you is not a bunch of empty words. It is a promise made for all eternity to go beyond all mortality.
How Do I Say I love you?...It's just a feeling deep in my heart that many times makes my eyes fill up with tears. I put my face to my children's face and breath in their little body. My 22 month old son just looks at me and smiles. My new 3 month old daughter now knows too.
